Cathedral of Vilnius - One of the Clients of Solar Park

Some churches of the Vilnius Archdiocese, including the Vilnius Cathedral and Bell Tower, monasteries, educational institutions, care homes and other buildings, are already supplied with solar power from Solarbank Solar Park in Grikapalis (Lithuania). We are glad that we can contribute to the aspiration of Vilnius Archdiocese to become the greenest, providing as many objects of Vilnius Archdiocese with renewable energy. Pope Francis is an active supporter of green energy. Solar power plants have been operating on the roofs of Vatican buildings for several years, but the Archdiocese of Vilnius chose in 2021 another modern solution - electricity from the Solarbank Solar Park. This is not only an environmentally friendly solution, but also one of the most efficient solar parks in Lithuania. This solar park has SoliTek's advanced solar power plant "Bifacial Track +40", which uses intelligent and computerized sun tracking system that rotates modules depending on the position of the sun.

The Bifacial Track +40 Power Plant uses the most advanced SoliTek SOLID Bifacial double-sided solar panel that transforms sunlight into electrical energy on both – its top and bottom – sides, thus reaching 40%. higher electricity generation than any standard solar power plant. At the 655 kW remote solar power plant, the Archdiocese of Vilnius will produce at least 884 MWh of electricity per year. This amount of electricity generated by the solar power plant will not only contribute significantly to the renewable energy goals, but will also save a significant amount of money that would have been paid for electricity so far. An excellent example of the implementation of the state and church renewable energy goals.
