Growing interest in integrated roof solutions

Vilnius-based solar module manufacturer SoliTek increased sales revenue by 55 % in the first three quarters of this year compared to the same period in 2021. This is mainly due to the growing interest in solar PV not only in Lithuania but also across Europe. Growing export volumes also contributed to the company's strong performance

In the first first three quarters of this year, the company's sales grew significantly in almost all export markets. The company exports to more than 20 countries, with Sweden (230%), the Netherlands (257 %), Finland (182%) Germany (395%) and Luxembourg (648%) showing the best export performance and export growth compared to the same period in 2021.

According to Julius Sakalauskas, SoliTek's CEO, demand for certain modules and solutions from SoliTek is currently growing. " We are seeing a very significant increase in demand for our SOLID Solrif modules. SOLID Solrif is specially designed for integration into the rooftop where the glass/glass module acts as a large, strong and safe photovoltaic roof tile. With this solar panel, our clients can save money twice: at first on roof tiles, and then, once again, in reduced electricity bills. This year we will produce ~3MW of this type of modules. In 2023 we will reach 25MW," says the SoliTek CEO.

Growing interest in integrated roof solutions

SOLID Solrif's sales growth in the first three quarters of this year has increased by 300% compared to the same period last year. This growth is attributed to the very strong interest in integrated roofs. Next year's growth is expected to be seven times higher.

The Solrif PV modules produced by SoliTek Cells are certified by Ernst Schweizer AG, confirming that these modules and all production processes complies with the quality guidelines of Ernst Schweizer AG. This certificate guarantees that Solrif PV modules installed in place of the roof cover are suitable for this purpose and watertight.

A couple of years ago SoliTek set the strategic direction – to focus on building most efficient and technologically advanced solar plants and parks with maximum possible life span. Only by offering completely innovative technological solutions SoliTek can effectively compete with Asian manufacturers. The results have already shown, that deliberate investment in state-of-the-art technology is more profitable than rebuilding standard designs.
