SoliTek announces the start of battery production

Vilnius-based solar module manufacturer Solitek, in order to expand renewable energy capabilities and to offer its customers comprehensive and sustainable solutions, presents the best energy storage solution - the first off-grid intelligent power storage system (battery) produced in Lithuania.
SoliTek recently presented the battery concept at the international fair in Germany, where it aroused great interest, and is already taking reservations from potential customers. Deliveries starting on the 1st of November 2022. The company plans to produce electricity storage systems suitable for both residents and businesses, and in the future to produce large-scale balancing systems that will store electricity generated by solar and wind power plants.
“For us, this is a historic step - we already have a product that announces the beginning of battery production in Lithuania. It is the product of innovation and research potential we are developing. Currently, we focus on household and infrastructural electricity storage systems, research into the recycling solar cells, modules and storage systems, reducing the CO2 emissions. This will be the first production line in Lithuania, which will supply batteries to the rapidly developing market. We were one of the first manufacturers of solar modules in Lithuania. It is encouraging that we are not giving up our position and that we are the first to start manufacturing Lithuanian storage systems”, - says Julius Sakalauskas, CEO of SoliTek.

According to J. Sakalauskas, a smart energy storage system or battery, are already a common part of households and businesses in the US, Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, the UK, and Japan. With the explosive growth of solar and wind energy, batteries are becoming an integral part of the mix as an energy storage technology, allowing energy to be stored in low demand and used during peak demand. An intelligent storage system developed by SoliTek can respond faster than other storage technologies and helps to maintain grid stability.
SoliTek team together with ABEE and IMECAR partners, who have accumulated the know-how in the field of battery design and application, has developed not only a sustainable, smart and high-quality product, but also visually attractive one, which will blend organically into any home. The battery, developed by SoliTek, includes smart AI charging, backup power and Off-grid capabilities, modular size variable solution, and the ability to track generation and storage with apps.
Last year, SoliTek signed a joint venture agreement with Avesta Battery & Energy Engineering (ABEE) (Belgium) and IMECAR Elektronik (Turkey) for the battery plant in Vilnius. The plant, which is engaged in the development of autonomous power storage systems, is expected to be operational in Q1 2023. The initial production capacity of the new plant will be 100 MWh, which will be increased to 1 GWh depending on market demand.
