SoliTek team participated in Press Rally 2023
SoliTek joined the 28th Press Rally event and encouraged people to choose environmentally friendly transportation.
This year, SoliTek participated with an Audi e-tron GT 350kW electric car, driven by one of the best Lithuanian racers, Ignas Gelžinis. The driver was accompanied by co-driver Dalia Belickaitė - a well-known infuencer and TV show host in Lithuania.
Audi e-tron GT was one of only a few electric cars that participated in Press Rally 2023. Before the race started, it was expected that our team would drive all the rally sections, competing with cars powered by internal combustion engines. At first everything went great, and in Kačerginė and Aukštadvarys the team performed even better than expected. However, a small mistake occurred in Kėdainiai, which affected the results. So, after the first day of the rally, Ignas and Dalia took 4th place in the overall standings.
The second day for the team, unfortunately, was not so successful. When turning around, the car slid and drove onto the curb. With two tires exploding, the team could no longer continue the route. Although the first speed section of the second day was the last for our team, both Ignas and Dalia do not lose their hype and hope for better results next year.
We thank the team for their dedication and great energy as well as encouragement to choose environmentally friendly transportation.
