SoliTek advances European modules with efficiency up to 22.93%

SoliTek advances European modules with efficiency up to 22.93%

SoliTek updates its EU-made modules with higher power and improved efficiency, allowing the same capacity with fewer panels. The upgrade supports streamlined installation and reduced balance-of-system needs, accompanied by a transition in glass technology.

Updated nominal power ratings

  • Regular SoliTek modules: 435 W → 455 W
  • Satin surface (anti-glare) modules: +10 W → 445 W
  • C&I modules: 505 W → 510 W

The higher power ratings allow increased energy generation from the same roof area without expanding the physical footprint of the installation.

Efficiency improvement

The increase in module power was driven not only by adjustments in module design, but also by advancements in solar cell efficiency, which resulted in higher efficiency ratings for the new generation of modules. With the adoption of latest-generation cells, SoliTek module efficiency now reaches up to 22.93%, directly contributing to the new power classes.

Innovation in glass technology

As part of the upgrade, SoliTek introduces heat-strengthened glass across the module range, replacing tempered glass. The company confirms that the transition maintains the certified mechanical load and hail resistance values of the modules.

Heat-strengthened glass presents a different breakage behavior compared with tempered glass, forming larger fragments that are more likely to remain in position. In several European markets, particularly in Germany, this characteristic is considered beneficial due to a reduced risk of falling particles. The material also features lower internal stress levels and decreased sensitivity to nickel-sulfide inclusions, factors linked to the probability of spontaneous glass breakage.

The glass remains compatible with POE encapsulant lamination used in SoliTek glass-glass modules and can offer reduced optical distortion with a potential influence on light transmission.

Practical impact

With more power and higher efficiency generated per module, projects may require fewer panels, mounting structures, cables and electrical connections. This contributes to simplified logistics and more streamlined installation processes for residential and commercial systems.

The upgraded portfolio will be available to SoliTek partners in all markets.
