Sustainability Report 2024 is Here: Sharing Key Activities and Achievements

For SoliTek, sustainability is not just about producing renewable energy solutions but also about ensuring that the way those solutions are made leaves the smallest possible footprint. In 2024, we continued to strengthen our leadership in sustainable solar manufacturing, setting new standards in durability, inclusivity, and transparency. But we don’t just talk. Here are our biggest accomplishments and recognitions below.

One of our biggest product achievements this year was reaching the highest hail resistance rating (Class 5, 50 mm) for glass-glass modules, alongside receiving Fire resistance standard EN 13501-1. These milestones proved the durability and safety of our modules, designed to serve customers for decades. We also maintained our Cradle to Cradle Gold certification, demonstrating our ongoing commitment to circularity and safe materials.

Our efforts did not go unnoticed. In 2024, we received several prestigious awards, including Smart Energy 2024 and the Baltic Sustainability Awards, as well as international recognition at the SolarPower Europe Sustainability Awards. These honors highlight our role in driving forward not only sustainable products but also sustainable practices.

Our focus on people remained just as strong. By the end of 2024, 14% of our employees were people with disabilities, while the share of women and international colleagues continued to grow. Flexible work models, diversity, and wellbeing initiatives further strengthened our culture of inclusion.

Environmentally, we achieved a 6% reduction in Scope 3 CO₂ emissions per kW compared to 2023, largely thanks to introducing more efficient solar modules. A complete switch to electric forklifts brought Scope 1–2 emissions down to just 0.008 kg CO₂/kW, further reinforcing our ambition to keep operations as clean as possible.

Looking ahead, we have already set ambitious goals for 2025: obtaining an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), updating our Cradle to Cradle certification, and reaching the Silver level of EcoVadis sustainability rating. These next steps mark another chapter in our ongoing commitment to responsible manufacturing and sustainable growth.

SoliTek Photovoltaic Noise Barrier Installed in Italy

A new solar-integrated noise barrier pilot has been completed along the E80 highway near Rome, adjacent to the ANAS Smart Road Center, incorporating high-efficiency bifacial photovoltaic modules supplied by SoliTek. The installation, developed by ANAS in cooperation with GSM Continental as the main contractor, demonstrates how sound-mitigation structures can also contribute to renewable energy generation.
