Green Circle: SoliTek Partners with LuxChemtech on Recycling
SoliTek is proud to announce a newly established co-operation with the PV and semiconductor wastes recycling company LuxChemtech from Germany. This partnership will allow SoliTek to be involved in managing their PV modules waste and to ensure that, at their end-of-life, PV modules are properly recycled using the latest technologies.
The green manufacturing journey is circular. Proper recycling is as important as zero waste production. Even though PV modules have relatively long lifetime of approximately 30 years, they still eventually degrade, as all other technologies, to the point where they enter their end-of-life stage and eventually must be replaced.
Being fully committed to the net-zero manufacturing, SoliTek is also devoted to developing good-case practices of managing the recycling of their PV modules.
Cooperation with LuxChemtech also involves testing PV modules on recyclability whenever new changes are made to PV modules, be it materials, design, or any other smaller or bigger adjustments. SoliTek is responsible for sharing full material content data and for informing the recycler on changes made in PV module design or materials. As manufacturer, SoliTek will be sharing their sales volumes, allowing LuxChemtech to forecast expected PV waste more accurately.
Proper waste management is also important for the clients: they are being provided with all the necessary after-sale support on repair, reuse, and recycling of the PV modules. SoliTek clients will have an option for their waste to be processed using the innovative LuxChemtech recycling technologies.
SoliTek has a vast experience in various EU Horizon projects on PV modules recyclability, which led to identifying the main issues related to the PV modules recycling and enabled to take the necessary steps. With this co-operation agreement with LuxChemtech, SoliTek is contributing beyond the minimal requirements set by the EU Commission for the PV modules recycling. SoliTek is committed to the greener future policy and, therefore, is actively sharing all the necessary data letting recyclers manage the PV modules waste with minimal effort and highest efficiency.
It is worth mentioning, that in 2023 Solitek obtained Cradle to Cradle (C2C) Gold certification, which demonstrates their long-term commitment to circular economy principles and responsible material usage.

SoliTek advances European modules with efficiency up to 22.93%
SoliTek updates its EU-made modules with higher power and improved efficiency, allowing the same capacity with fewer panels. The upgrade supports streamlined installation and reduced balance-of-system needs, accompanied by a transition in glass technology. The higher power ratings allow increased energy generation from the same roof area without expanding the physical footprint of the installation.
